Getloaded load board consolidated in DAT network

As of December, DAT Solutions has integrated Getloaded, a leading load board for smaller freight brokers and carriers, into the DAT network of load boards. DAT says the move expands its load-board offerings to include a greater diversity of equipment types and loads from specialized brokers.

The single network provides greater opportunities for all users of both platforms in van, refrigerated, flatbed and specialty segments. Prior to the consolidation, Getloaded and DAT — which includes DAT Power, DAT Express, DAT TruckersEdge, and OOIDA’s MembersEdge — had operated with independent databases. The consolidation of Getloaded carriers plus DAT’s own subscription growth has resulted in a 36 percent increase in the number of carriers accessing the DAT network of load boards from a year ago.

Former Getloaded carriers can now access 400 percent more loads per day on DAT. These are available to them on the road as a result of DAT’s recently announced mobile load board app (Android), connecting truckers where they work — mobile optimized browser versions of TruckersEdge and other boards also remain a connection point for truckers.

The last three years’ worth of growth in the company, says DAT Senior Vice President Don Thornton, translates to “double the number of carriers in our system.” The more possible broker/carrier connections available in the load board systems, the better it works for everyone, he adds. “It’s a better, more fluid and more dense network.”

Furthermore, while DAT fully expected to lose a good deal of Getloaded’s subscribers upon the recent integration, “we’re not seeing a dropoff,” Thornton says.

The move is the latest in a series of expansions at DAT. In August, the company relocated to a 55,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility in Portland, Oregon. It also grew its technical and engineering staff, while expanding its data science department to address the needs of a changing industry.
