The National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC) will now offer the PrePass weigh station bypass program to its members following a recent agreement with Help Inc., parent company of PrePass.

The weigh station bypass and toll payment management programs are available to NASTC members either through the bundled Management and Safety Program, or as a non-bundled program.

The NASTC PrePass program is available to NASTC members not enrolled in PrePass in the last six months with less than 100 power unites. Fleets must also meet minimum safety score requirements to qualify.

David Owen, president of NASTC, said a 2010 study of NASTC members found that those using PrePass had better CSA scores, lower driver turnover rates, higher on-time deliveries and booked more loaded miles per week.

PrePass uses a single RFID transponder to manage both weigh station bypassing and electronic toll payment services.
