I-70 East in Indiana reduced to one lane for bridge project

Both directions of Interstate 70 in Indiana will be impacted by a bridge construction project near Mile 155 near the Indiana-Ohio state line.

The project started Friday, Oct. 13, and will continue for 13 days. Crews have reduced I-70 East to one lane throughout the 13-day project. Drivers should also plan for single-lane closures in both directions between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night throughout the project.

Indiana DOT says it expects significant backups, and alternate routes are encouraged. Truck traffic is encouraged to go north on U.S. 27 (exit 151), then east on U.S. 36, then south on Ohio Route 127 to return to I-70 East. Wide loads will be prohibited from the work zone.
