Montgomery Transport, a flatbed carrier headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, named its Driver of the Year during the Bristol Motor Speedway’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 race weekend in April and gave the winner the opportunity to take a victory lap around the track.

Driver Bob Foran was announced as the Driver of the Year and was awarded a new, custom Peterbilt 579, which he was invited to take for a test drive around the NASCAR track.

“It’s an awesome feeling – my mind has been blown since it was announced,” Foran said. He was honored in April. “I couldn’t work for a finer organization than Montgomery Transport. I’m very proud of Mr. Montgomery and all the people who have supported us, and I just don’t know what else to say but thank you. This has been an over-the-top experience for me.” Foran also won a $1,000 cash prize in addition to the truck.
