The Texas Department of Transportation will close both directions of I-30 main lanes through an approximately five-mile stretch in Arlington this weekend.

The east and westbound lanes between FM 157/Collins Street to SH 161/President George Bush Turnpike will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12. TxDOT says the closure is for the removal of the southbound SH 360 frontage road bridge.

Eastbound I-30 drivers will be detoured onto southbound FM 157, then to eastbound SH 180, then to the northbound SH 161 frontage road to the eastbound I-30 director ramp, which will be toll free during the detour. Westbound traffic will take the opposite detour.

The project is to update the I-30/SH 360 interchange from its current cloverleaf design to a modern, fully-directional interchange with connection ramps for all movements between I-30 and SH 360.
