The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance is seeking nominations through the end of this week for its International Driver Excellence Award that recognizes truck drivers’ careers and their commitment to public safety.
The annual award is meant to recognize drivers who go above and beyond in their normal truck driving duties. In order to be considered for the award, drivers must have:
- At least 25 cumulative years of crash-free driving in a commercial vehicle with a clean driving record in the past three years
- No felony convictions
- No safety-related driving suspensions in the past three years
- No driver violations in the past three years, excluding form and manner violations
The winner will receive a $2,500 check, a crystal trophy, airfare for two to St. Louis to receive the award during the CVSA Workshop, and a two-night hotel stay at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. The award will be presented April 1.
Nomination forms can be found here and must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 14.
