Kenworth is now offering the 12.9-liter Paccar MX-13 engine in two new horsepower ratings for the Kenworth T680, T880 and W990.
The first new rating is 405-hp and 1,650 lb-ft of torque offering increased fuel efficiency for line-haul applications.
The second is a multi-torque 455-hp rating with 1,650/1,850 lb-ft of torque designed for heavy-haul applications. This rating provides additional torque in the top two gears while pulling a load up a hill, eliminating the need to downshift.
The MX-13 is now offered in ranges of 405- to 510-hp and 1,450 to 1,850 lb-ft of torque.
The company is also now offering a variable speed fan clutch as an option on the 10.8-liter Paccar MX-11 for the T680 and T880.
