For aftermarket customers in the United States and Canada, Eaton is increasing the standard manufacturer warranties for its Advantage and EverTough Series aftermarket clutches. The Advantage Self-Adjust and Easy Pedal Advantage clutch standard warranties are increased to three years/unlimited miles two years, and the standard warranty periods for EverTough Self-Adjust and EverTough Manual-Adjust clutches are increased to two years/unlimited miles from one. Additionally, customers can extend the warranty period for their EverTough Series clutches to three years/unlimited miles by using Eaton’s Clutch Installation Kit or Eaton Reman Bundle Program (EverTough clutch plus Eaton Reman Transmission and Eaton-approved transmission fluid).
The new warranty periods go into effect in the U.S. and Canada for the designated clutches purchased on or after July 1, 2019. The warranty periods for clutches sold in Mexico remain unchanged.
“This change is consistent with our strategy to increase the value Eaton genuine clutches provide to our aftermarket customers,” said Tim Bauer, North American aftermarket vice president for the vehicle group, “providing them the peace-of-mind that we stand behind our clutches.”
Eaton’s Advantage Series clutches are the best-selling clutches in North America, the company says, with technology designed for OEM first-fit applications. They are designed and manufactured to deliver more protection and less maintenance for maximum uptime and performance. A specially tuned, dual-damper system absorbs engine vibrations and prevents idle rattle, while soft rate springs protect valuable driveline components. Advantage Series clutches provide 50,000-mile lubrication intervals, and their two wear indicators improve serviceability.
Eaton EverTough clutches are designed for longevity, the company adds, and are available in manual-adjust and self-adjust configurations, featuring industry standard technology. All Eaton clutches are backed by Roadranger, the national network of drivetrain expertise and support.
