KeepTruckin announced Monday it has released two new fleet-focused products with a dual-facing dashcam and an asset-tracking gateway to give fleets more insights into their business.

The dual-facing Smart Dashcam gives fleet and safety managers a driver-facing view, in addition to the already-existing road view, that they can use to make sure their drivers are making safe decisions on the road. Managers can also watch for certain driving trends and send real-time coaching alerts to drivers.

For owner-operators, having a dual-facing dashcam could also help lead to exoneration in the event of a post-crash court battle by showing the driver was not distracted and did the right things at the time of a crash.

The KeepTruckin Asset Gateway automatically pulls location reports on all trailers and other assets, giving managers a view of where their equipment is at all times. The gateway is powered by a built-in solar panel and battery that logs GPS data every minute and sends that data to the KeepTruckin Dashboard every five minutes.
