Schneider brokerage implements instant-booking option for carriers
Schneider Transportation Management, the brokerage division of the Wisconsin-based Schneider National carrier, has implemented the Trucker Tools company’s Book-it-Now option for loads booked within its system by contracted carriers. Schneider company arranges and manages truckload, intermodal and LTL moves among thousands of customers and carriers daily, including small fleets and owner-operators.
The Book-It-Now implementation, says Trucker Tools, expands on Schneider use of TT’s “Smart Capacity” predictive freight matching and carrier management module, as well as its Load Track tracking platform. All three functions for drivers/carriers are integrated in the Trucker Tools driver app and within Schneider’s own transportation management and brokerage operating systems.
“Our goal is to be the broker of choice, said Erin Van Zeeland, Schneider senior vice president and general manager for logistics services, “and make it as easy and advantageous as possible for carriers to do business with us.”
