Whelen Engineering’s rigs, including this 2013 Kenworth W900L, now display the company’s new logos that sport an all-American theme. “We’re showing off that we manufacture in America,” says Rick Alexander, whose rig pulls a 2014 Manac van and is powered by a 500-hp Cummins engine and an Eaton UltraShift transmission. Alexander says the trucks are outfitted with stainless steel and galvanized to protect them from icy, snowy roads in Connecticut and New Hampshire.
