Among the dozens of entries in the PKY Truck Beauty Championship this week, there’s no shortage of cabovers, representing brands including Peterbilt, Kenworth and Ford.
Here are some of them, dating back as far as 1990:
Harold Demaree said he tried to retire a few years ago, got restlessand bought this 1991 Ford CLT 9000 two and a half years ago. The truck has a 2000 Series 60 Detroit and a 6-speed Allison transmission.
This Pete cabover and Mac grain trailer are owned by Bill Warner Jr. of Circleville, W. Va.
A purple base with bold striping help this Pete stand out.
This Kenworth bears “Old Iron Special” on the back of the cab.
