The Meritor ChampTruck World Series returns to action this weekend in Charlotte for the fourth race of the big rig racing series’ inaugural season.
Competitors will square off at the Charlotte Motor Speedway July 2-4.
There will be heat races throughout the day Friday, July 3, followed by a few more heats and the points-earning Podium Race Saturday.
Minimizer Racing will also be streaming the Charlotte race live online. Minimizer is also giving away free tickets to the race, while supplies last.
ChampTruck races field roughly a dozen Class 8 trucks that race in several heats and a main event to determine both a weekend points champion and earn points for the season championship.
In the series’ previous race, professional truck racer Stuart Oliver out of England picked up the win at Pikes Peak raceway in Colorado.
Later in July, ChampTruck will head to Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Ill., right outside St. Louis, July 17-19.
Heat races will be throughout the day Saturday, July 18 and on Sunday morning leading up to the podium race.
Admission is $20 for adults for a one-day pass, or $30 for a two-day pass, and children under 15 get in free for both races. Click here to learn more about attending.
