Melvin Adams, who owns A&P Manufacturing with his wife, Kim, purchased this 2015 Peterbilt 389 Pride & Class Edition to celebrate 50 years of the company being in business.
Adams says the truck is the first new truck the company has bought in the 50-year history of the company. The truck is powered by a 500-horsepower Cummins and an 18-speed transmission.
Custom work on the truck includes a moose bumper on the front due to primarily operating in Newfoundland, Canada, and a stainless steel drop visor and roof wing. The center of the chassis and mudflaps are also adorned with lights, along with a stainless steel Peterbilt logo across the back of the cab.
The trailer is a 53-foot 2016 Hyundai dry van, which was wrapped to commemorate the company’s 50 years in business. A&P hauls its own lumber to be made into pallets, which the company then delivers to customers.
