Wayne Proudfoot’s ’95 Peterbilt 379

Wayne Proudfoot found this 1995 Peterbilt 379 extended hood “in the weeds,” where he says it sat three years before he bought it. Now the truck, named “Cheyenne,” is powered by a Caterpillar 3406E with a 10-speed and 3:55 rears. He mainly pulls flatbed and step deck on the East Coast. Proudfoot, the owner of Mokay Trucking and operating under Proudfoot Trucking out of Philippi, W.V., says most of the upgrades he’s done to the truck so far have been mechanical, but he plans to lower the front end, change out the visor and bumper and add a 48-inch flattop sleeper in the future.
