‘Big Tex’: Joel Griswold’s 2015 Freightliner 122SD

Joel Griswold’s 2015 Freightliner 122SD is powered by a 505-horsepower DD15 Detroit and Eaton 13-speed. The truck, nicknamed “Big Tex,” is used to haul steel coils, slit coils and sheet metal for Griswold’s small flatbed company out of Clayton, Calif. Griswold has added a Protech step box and chain box and a Road Gear headache rack. The truck also features a diamond-plated deck plate with quick-release air lines and a Texas-style bumper.
