Ricky “Rude” Proffitt picked up his second Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series win in as many races last weekend at Montgomery Motor Speedway in Montgomery, Ala., picking up his second $10,000 check of the young season.

Proffitt also won the series’ second race, held April 15 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, S.C.

Allen Boles jumped out to an early lead in the race, gaining nearly a full straightaway lead on the rest of the 13-truck field. A caution flag took the wind out of Boles’ sails with less than 10 laps to go in the 25-lap race, and Proffitt was able to take advantage. Proffitt restarted after the caution in third, behind Boles and Mike Morgan.

Following Boles on the inside line, Proffitt got by Morgan and was able to get around Boles on the outside with four laps to go, never relinquishing the lead once he attained it. A video of the full race can be seen below. The Bandit race begins around the one-hour mark in the video.

The next Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series race will be held this weekend, May 20, at Florence Motor Speedway in Timmonsville, S.C. The race will be the fourth of the 13-race Bandit season. The full schedule can be seen here.

A full schedule of racing is scheduled for Florence in addition to the Bandit trucks. Racing begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, according to track officials. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
