Chuck Gibson’s 1996 Peterbilt 379

This 1996 Peterbilt 379 is owned by Chuck Gibson out of Bessemer City, N.C. The rig sports a 500-hp Detroit with a 13-speed Eaton. Sitting on a 275-inch wheelbase, the truck features a GM Midnight Blue paint job with pearl dust mixed in, which was done about seven years ago. It also has Jones Performance fenders, 8-inch straight stacks and stainless steel-wrapped tanks. Gibson, a second generation trucker of 24 years mostly runs a dedicated route hauling steel coils from Columbia, S.C., to Concord, N.C. The truck is shown above with a load of tires from Bridgestone.
