The Mid-America Trucking Show doesn’t officially kick off until Thursday, but show truck owners are already hard at work at the Paul K. Young Truck Beauty Contest polishing their rigs for the event.
Some of the trucks on display at the show truck lot can be seen below:
Gary Jones, owner of SPB Trucking, owns this 1999 Peterbilt 379 EXHD, “Excessive Behavior II.”
Warren Hartman’s 2018 Peterbilt 389 glider, “Touch of Class from the Past,” has been outfitted with various touches to resemble the classic 359 style.
Kaleb Hammett owns this 2017 Peterbilt 389 that is inspired by his late grandfather, Harry, who started the family’s business in 1963.
The interior of Hammett’s heavy-haul rig is lined with intricate leather panels like this one that features the truck’s nickname, “Ya Savvy” – a nod to a frequent saying of his late grandfather.
Greg Kiser Trucking owns this 2018 Peterbilt 389 glider with a 550-hp Cat and 18-speed. The truck is driven by Austin Kiser.
“Silver Bullet” is a 2001 Peterbilt 379 owned by Robbie Jordan. It features a 600-hp Cat C16 with a Fuller 18-speed and 3:08 rears.
Dave Cauffman owns this 2019 Kenworth W900L that has just over 1,000 miles on it. The custom purple, black and white paint scheme was added after Cauffman took ownership of the rig.
