The Dispatching Solutions company announced that it has self-certified and registered its DSi eLogs system on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s registry for electronic logging devices. The DSi platform “provides the necessary technology for full ELD compliance,” the company says, and “is now available for use in all commercial vehicles.”
DSi’s mobile-based tracking platform offers a variety of capabilities to fleets.The DSi system is available in both dedicated in-cab unit and BYOD (“bring your own device”) configurations for smartphone/tablets with Android and iOS operating systems — ongoing subscriptions are available for $20 and more monthly, depending on options. Fleets utilizing the system, the company says, will “be able to maintain full DOT compliance. … The solution provides the required connection with the truck’s ECM and delivers full electronic reporting on any iOS or Android device.”
For managers and back-office personnel among fleets, the system allows for visibility into “the status of each driver in their fleet,” DSi says. User-friendly automated alerts provide real-time updates to drivers and staff for issues like potential hours-of-service violations or daily break rules.
