Comment period on ELD exemption request for small carriers ends Monday

Updated Jul 12, 2018

Truckers have five more days to comment on an exemption request that would exempt carriers with fewer than 50 employees from the electronic logging device mandate.

The petition, filed in June by the Small Business in Transportation Coalition, can be found here.

Comments will be accepted here through Monday, July 16. The comment period was originally set to end on July 5, but “a technical difficulty” that didn’t allow comments for several days prompted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to extend the deadline.
