Volvo, Mack looking to minimize downtime with Certified Uptime Centers

VolvoVolvo and Mack Trucks will begin introducing Certified Uptime Centers within their respective dealer networks in 2016 in an effort to maximize uptime.

Dealer locations will receive the certification after adopting a standardized process designed to provide more transparent information to the customer and complete repairs more quickly.

The certified centers will have dedicated uptime bays where trucks requiring repair time of four hours or less are serviced immediately, eliminating the “first come, first served” practice. The centers will utilize Remote Diagnostics, Volvo’s telematics-based proactive diagnostic and repair planning system, to help the service experience.
