Retrac, a subsidiary of Lippert Components, has released brand-new Tuff Guard XT and ProTec Edge XT grille guards compatible with the redesigned Volvo VNL (2025 and newer).
“Retrac is excited to be continuously working on advancing our safety products for the heavy truck market,” said Jeff Perez, director of business development. “Our product developments continue to be focused on safety, vision, and protection solutions for both the drivers and their vehicles.”
Compatible with VORAD (vehicle on-board radar) systems and fog lights, the new grille guards feature a custom bend designed to match the updated front-end contours of the new VNL, all while maintaining durability, a sleek look, and the affordability Retrac is known for, the company said.
Retrac's new Volvo grille guard lineup features two premium models:
- The Tuff Guard XT is available in both a polished stainless steel finish and a durable black powder coat.
- The ProTec Edge XT comes in polished stainless steel.
A custom MagLatch bracket, sold separately, was developed specifically to mount these new grille guards. MagLatch brackets help reduce downtime, Retrac said, because of a fold-down mechanism that provides fast, easy engine access.
“Building on our well-known, durable front-end protection designs, the new Tuff Guard XT and ProTec Edge XT grille guards will deliver immediate benefits for the latest Volvo models,” said Jason Gould, Retrac National Sales Manager. “Both fleets and owner-operators can feel confident that these new Retrac guards will protect their investment and help minimize front-end damage in the event of an accident.”
