He is my best friend, my co-worker, my husband. He has a 2-million-miles-plus safe, perfect driving record. He will help anyone he can. He’s a loving father of two girls, and grandfather of a boy and a girl and another boy on the way!! He doesn’t get to see them as he is delivering the FedEx packages everywhere in the U.S. We have been trucking together for 17 years and got married in Reno, Nev., in our truck.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mark the day with the 2001 379 of owner-operator Patrick White, who suffered a broken leg in August, unable to work for a time. Today, he's back on the horse, and the Whites note they benefited from some help from lenders, but also "from a few close friends and our family. We are very grateful this year for sure," said Patrick's wife, Ashlyn. Here's to giving thanks, and a big thanks to all of you for who you are and what you do.
