The third stop in the inaugural Meritor ChampTruck World Series season will be held this weekend at Pike’s Peak International Raceway in Fountain, Colo.

ChampTruck races field roughly a dozen Class 8 trucks that will race in several heats and a main event to determine both a weekend points champion and earn points for the season championship.

Last weekend, Hungarian racer Krisztian Szabo won the points-earning Podium Race in the series’ second stop, held in Willows, Calif., at the Thunderhill Raceway. Nashville-based Mack technician Mike Morgan came in second, following up on his win in last month’s races in New Jersey.

There will be two heat races Saturday and three heat races Sunday leading up to the podium race Sunday afternoon.

Admission is $20 for adults for a one-day pass, or $30 for a two-day pass, and children under 15 get in free. Click here to learn more about attending.
