‘Coast to coast’: Trucker Talent Search finalist Will Perry

“Coast to coast,” the song that got Minnesota-based trucker Will Perry to the finalist round of the Overdrive/Red Eye Radio Trucker Talent Search, was the first one he’d ever written directly involving trucking, Perry tells Eric Harley of Red Eye Radio in this podcast interview. That’s important, as what it’s about is an industry he’s spent the past quarter century in as a driver, with no small measure of pride evoked, he says — in “the whole atmosphere of over-the-road driving and the trucks.”

Perry will perform Friday, Aug. 26, with fellow finalists Keith Snyder and Jason Lee Wilson in the 2016 Trucker Talent Search final competition at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas. Hear interviews with all three of the finalists via the playlist at the bottom of this post.
