Reigning Overdrive‘s Pride & Polish National Champion Vinnie Diorio’s 2013 Peterbilt 389 and 2008 MAC trailer, which he’s dubbed Trendsettin’, won Best of Show in the Limited-Mileage Combo category, while another reigning champ, Bill Rethwisch, won another Best of Show victory, though with a different truck — a 2013 Peterbilt 389 and matching Polar Tanker, which he’s named Blood, Sweat & Gass.
Perennial Pride & Polish competitor — and regular victor — Bob Brinker scored another Best of Show in the Working Bobtail category with his pirate-themed 2000 Freightliner Classic, Legend of the Black Pearl.
Joel Dawes, who won Best of Show with his 1988 Peterbilt 379 in last year’s Fitzgerald Truck Show Pride & Polish, won Best of Show in the Limited-Mileage Bobtail category.
All four trucks are now qualified to compete in the Overdrive‘s Pride & Polish National Championship in August in Dallas at the Great American Trucking Show.
Rethwisch now has two trucks qualified for the National Championship, as his 2012 Pete and matching Polar Tanker also won Best of Show at the PDI Dyno Event and Truck Show Pride & Polish in November.
Diorio and Rethwisch also notched a few wins in the 2013 circuit.
Diorio won Best of Show at last year’s 75 Chrome Shop show, but with a different truck — another 2013 Peterbilt 389 out of his small fleet — and won Best of Show with the National Championship truck at the Crossville, Tenn.-based Fitzgerald Truck Show Pride & Polish show in July.
Rethwisch’s 2012 Pete and matching tanker won Best of Show in the Working Combo category at the Fitzgerald show.

Austin Ashley’s 2007 Peterbilt 379, dubbed Double Take, picked up awards in paint, engine and interior categories. The truck won the Trucker’s Choice National Championship in last year’s Pride & Polish series.
