Ben Ickert of Amboy, Wash., hauls logs throughout the state with his nearly 30-year-old Mack Superliner. Ickert, of Amboy bought the truck three years ago and says he’s had to put $50,000 into restoration work to “make [it] as safe and roadworthy as today’s trucks.”
