The nation’s fifth-largest fleet is asking FMCSA to allow it to phase in new trucks with AOBRDs after the cutoff date of Dec. 18, 2017, to replace trucks that had AOBRDs. The exemption request also seeks a reprieve to allow drivers to record their duty statuses differently in certain situations than the mandate allows.
