Strick Trailers has expanded its Monroe, Indiana, manufacturing facility by adding a 44,000-square-foot production line dedicated to “the unique characteristics of its custom trailer business,” the company says. The addition will increase flexibility and manufacturing capabilities to better respond to specific customer needs. The expansion has created more than 30 new jobs.

According to Jim Gazdick, Vice President of Operations for Strick, “This expansion gives us the flexibility to build low-volume specialized trailers with shorter lead times.”

Production capacity is increased by 25 percent by dedicating the new line to custom manufacturing.

Today, Strick caters to a variety of customers who are purposely looking to do custom building for specific products. Strick’s second line has the flexibility to build a factory-built custom trailer down to the bolt and nut to meet the demands of each individual end user.
