Anyway Logistics, out of Fresno, California, bought the Boondocks Truck Stop for $500,000 at auction last week. The truck stop closed in October after 45 years, according to reports by the Des Moines Register.

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department says 60-year-old Ernest D. Kummer of Monroe, Iowa, was shot and killed in the cab of his truck in the westbound I-80 rest area at mile marker 208 near Victor, west of Iowa City.
