The number of loads moved declined and load-to-truck ratios fell for all three equipment types during the holiday week, but rates were up for vans and reefers for the month of November over the preceding month.

Spot rates firming up as holiday season approaches with hot spots for reefers, flatbeds
National average rates during the first three days of November were lower than the overall October average but were unchanged compared to the previous week. Look for reefer opportunity in the Pacific Northwest, and for Christmas trees to run out of the same area and North Carolina.
