Love’s Travel Stops set a company record in 2016 with the opening of 47 new stores across 20 states, the most in a single year for the company.
Those 47 new locations gave truckers more than 3,000 new parking spaces, the company says, along with more than 220 showers, quick-service restaurants and more.
“2016 was a landmark year for Love’s. By opening 47 new stores across 20 states, we surpassed 400 locations and added more than 3,000 truck-parking spaces to busy interstates and highways,” said Frank Love, co-CEO of Love’s. “We’re committed to serving our customers in as many ways as possible and part of that is adding more locations to provide services in areas where we didn’t offer coverage.”
The company also partnered with Dunkin’ Donuts, IHOP Express restaurants and Taco John’s to bring its total restaurant partnerships to 19.
Of the 47 new locations, more than 20 offer Love’s Truck Tire Care centers, bringing the nationwide total to more than 260 locations. In addition to tires, the centers also focus on oil changes for engines, transmissions and gear boxes.
In addition to the 47 new truck stops, Love’s also opened seven new hotels near the travel stops in Jasper, Ala.; Cumberland, Md.; Chandler, Ariz.; Hudson, Colo.; Midland, Texas; Burlington, Colo.; and Sidney, Neb.
The company also expanded into the compressed natural gas market this year with the purchase of Trillium CNG.
