I-24 lanes closed on weekend

Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will close lanes on Interstate 24 East and West in southeast Davidson County this weekend as repair work on several bridges continues.

I-24 between mile markers 57 and 59 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction beginning June 25 at 8 p.m. The lanes will reopen no later than Monday, June 28, at 6 a.m.

During this weekend’s lane closures, workers will remove deteriorated concrete from the bridges in the area. Once the new concrete is poured, it must harden for approximately 18 hours. The entire project is expected to be complete by the end of July.

TDOT will use overhead and portable message boards to alert motorists of the lane closures.
