California truck owners who have not been able to finance a diesel particulate filter or newer truck may apply for the next round of truck replacement grants to meet the state Air Resources Board’s 2007 emission standards.
Applications for grants worth up to $50,000 toward purchase of a newer truck are expected to open in October. Cascade Sierra Solutions, a Coburg, Ore.-based non-profit is providing application assistance services for truck owners seeking to apply for a grant or other financial assistance.
In the first round of state Proposition 1B funding, CSS helped more than 400 truck owners apply for and receive truck replacement grants.
