Mack expands natural gas lineup to long-haul trucks

Updated Jun 22, 2012

Mack Trucks recently announced a 2013 expansion of natural gas-powered products in the latest versions of its Pinnacle and Granite models. Both models will use the Cummins Westport ISX12, and customer testing is scheduled to begin this year. The expansion adds to a list of natural-gas powered models already offered in the Mack TerraPro Low Entry and Mack TerraPro cabover refuse models. The new models will feature maintenance-free after-treatment and provide up to a 30 percent fuel efficiency improvement. The models are available with CNG or LNG fuel systems.
