TravelCenters of America and Petro Stopping Centers’ “Citizen Driver” program has been launched to recognize professional drivers who’ve earned public respect for the trucking “industry through good citizenship, safety, community involvement, health and wellness and leadership,” the company says. Nominations will be accepted through November 30, 2013. A panel of trucking pros will review the nominations to selected Citizen Driver winners to be announced at the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show.

Anyone can nominate a driver by completed the form found via the Citizen Driver program website. Among other honors, winners will have a TA or Petro location named for them.
