Old Dominion opens, relocates service centers

Old Dominion Freight Line opened a new 267-door service center in Memphis, Tenn. The Thomasville, N.C.-based less-than-truckload company said it invested more than $30 million in the facility that now employs 416, with plans to add 100 new jobs over the next two years.

Old Dominion also relocated its service center in Portland, Ore., to a larger facility that increases capacity to 136 doors from 84 doors at the previous location; the new facility employs 136 people. And the company’s expanded service center in Chattanooga, Tenn., employs 92 people and includes a 40 percent larger loading dock.
