ACT raises company driver pay

American Central Transport announced that it is raising pay for company truck drivers. Company drivers now can earn up to a maximum of 50 cents per-mile pay for all miles, plus a fuel bonus.

The Liberty, Mo.-based dry van fleet also recently announced that company drivers now receive $100-per-day holiday pay while they are at home for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. If a company driver is driving on any of those days, he or she receives holiday pay in addition to mileage pay.

Also, company drivers now are paid $100-per-day layover pay.
