PSP Poll February 2013

Truck drivers who have been background checked by HireRight (formerly DAC Services) may receive notification from the U.S. District Court in Delaware about Altegrity Inc.’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Altegrity owns HireRight, which conducts for trucking companies the bulk of background checks on drivers before they hired. Drivers whose background checks were conducted by HireRight may receive letters notifying them of the bankruptcy petition.

HireRight will continue to operate and conduct business as usual throughout the process, according to court documents.

Also as part of the bankruptcy agreement, the U.S. Investigations Services — also owned by Altegrity and part of a merger with HireRight in 2008 — will be liquidated, according to court documents.

More information about the case and a list of the companies included in the bankruptcy petition can be found at this link.
