Next week, reports the Missouri Department of Transport, concrete pours for new off- and on-ramps for the “Crossroads interchange” going in at Prigmore Avenue and I-44/49 in Joplin will see closure of an eastbound lane of the interstate May 13-14 during late afternoon, night and early morning hours.
The project will continue and crews are expecting to keep at least one lane open in both directions on I-44/49 for the duration — through November 2015 all told. Interstate lanes will also remain narrowed throughout the project.
Locally, the Prigmor Avenue bridge (County Road 190) over I-44/49 will remain closed until fall.
