The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance is now accepting nominations for its annual International Driver Excellence Award (IDEA) that recognizes the careers to truck drivers and their commitment to public safety.
Nominations are being accepted here through Dec. 14, and the winner will be announced in March and presented with the award on April 1 at the CVSA Workshop in St. Louis, Missouri.
The 2019 IDEA winner will receive a $2,500 check, a crystal trophy, airfare for two to St. Louis and a stay at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch.
Nominees must have at least 25 cumulative years of crash-free driving in a commercial vehicle with a clean driving record in the last three years, no felony convictions, no safety-related driving suspensions in the last three years, and no driver violations in the last three years, excluding form and manner violations.
