Volvo and Mack announced Wednesday they will be offering factory-backed warranties for pre-owned trucks.
Qualified Volvo Certified and Mack Certified trucks that are four model years or newer with 450,000 miles or less undergo a comprehensive 150-point inspection and reconditioning process and are DOT safety compliant.
Both Volvo and Mack Certified trucks will come with up to 24 months and 250,000 miles of coverage backed by the companies’ nationwide service networks. The warranty program is operated through the companies’ internal systems, removing the need for third-party vendors to process warranty claims.
The new warranty programs are modeled after the Volvo Engine 2 and Mack Engine 2 Protection Plans offered on new trucks.
