Owner-operator and singer-songwriter Bill Weaver happens to be the latest to contribute to the bevy of stories chronicling one or more of the years truckers came to the rescue around the Christmas holidays. His “How the Truckers Saved Christmas” song, regular readers and listeners to the Overdrive Radio podcast will recall, is on his latest record, “Burnin’ the Old School Down,” released this past summer. It got the video treatment from former driver Tex Crowley’s Texomatic Pictures, which you can enjoy above.

With any luck, enforcement will be light up North this weekend and into Monday. Lord knows we’ve seen some eventful years for Claus and company over the last decade, with ever-watchful compliance consultant Richard Wilson‘s dispatches delivering the hard news:

Here’s hoping the truckers get home to family and friends this year. Merry Christmas to all.
