Gregg Godfrey World record jump

Longtime readers might remember my brief coverage of immediate past Utah Trucking Association President and Godfrey Trucking fleet head Scott Godfrey’s daredeviling pastimes — well, his brother Gregg is the real McCoy. That’s him in the semi floating up above the restored Evel Knievel haul rig pictured above at the Evel Knievel Days festival this past Friday.

Gregg Godfrey world record truck jump 2Gregg nailed a world-record-worthy semi-truck jump, according to a variety of news sources, landing the rig 166 feet from the launch point.

Catch a couple vids of the jump below.

And: As I noted before (as if it needed any further emphasis), don’t try this at home, folks. Godfrey told Yahoo News that “I hit so hard, I think I’m concussed. I don’t think I’m all there” shortly after the jump. Read more via this link.

And catch a few view of the truck Gregg’s “Godfrey Clan” team utilized via this Godfrey Trucking Facebook post.
