Luis Vilar, owner of Vilar Trucking based in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, owns this 2021 Kenworth W990, “Barney Jr.” The rig is powered by a 505-hp Cummins ISX15 with a Fuller RTLO19613 13-speed with 4:56 Meritor rears. The truck’s purple paint scheme is from the 2006 Kenworth color chart and is the same as its “father,” a W900L named “The Barney.” The truck features a vintage interior with leather air ride seats. It also sports Zone Defense cameras integrated to the factory on-board screen. Vilar mostly uses the truck to haul dry van and reefer containers out of the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico, to pharmaceuticals companies around the island.
