Diesel price drops, still up 13 cents year over year

The average price of diesel in the U.S. dropped to $3.923 a gallon for the week ended Dec. 24, says the Department of Energy — a 2 cent drop from the previous week. However, the price remains 13 cents above the same week in 2011.
