Accuride launched this month its steel wheel refinishing service, ProFinish.Accuride offers a steel wheel refinishing service, ProFinish, which will refinish all steel wheel makes with Accuride’s “Steel Armor” coating that protects against corrosion and carries a 12-month warranty against rust.
The refinishing process begins with a wheel inspection to make sure there are no cracks or other flaws that compromise the structural integrity of the wheel, then all of the current paint is removed from the wheel. The clean wheels then go through the coating process, which includes a zinc phosphate coating, an epoxy electrocoat to protect against corrosion, and a powder coat.
