With the S-Series engine, the S-750i meets current and proposed California Air Resources Board (CARB) Ultra-Low Emission Transport Refrigeration Unit (ULETRU) emissions without the use of a diesel particulate filter.

“The S-750i is an innovative, connected and energy-efficient solution," said Sam Doerr, Thermo King’s trailer portfolio leader. "It is another key product launch in Thermo King’s commitment to delivering smart, sustainable temperature-control solutions that strengthen the cold chain and create value for customers while helping them to reduce their carbon footprint.”

The new S-750i features a three-speed engine, which optimizes efficiencies at fresh and frozen; a next-generation control system, which offers precise temperature control; and a diesel-electric architecture optimized for shore power integration.

Thermo King says benefits of shore power operation include improved efficiency, fewer emissions than diesel, quieter operation, less maintenance and longer life of the unit.

Every S-750i trailer unit also comes equipped with TracKing telematics, with the first 12 months of ownership having no service charge. Telematics can help fleet owners monitor temperature, offers rapid alarm detection and security alerts when the doors are opened, and detects fuel loss.
