Find yourself needing extra juice to run appliances and devices in the truck? A power inverter could provide the spark. Power inverters take the DC current from a truck’s batteries and step it down to 110-volt AC power.
Most in trucking think horsepower when they think about Cummins, but the engine maker also offers power in watts with a line of inverters.
At the high end is a 5,000-watt model with four AC outlets and two USB ports. Other inverters deliver 4,000, 3,000, 2,000 and 400 watts. Cummins also has smaller models that provide 120 watts and plug into a truck’s 12-volt port.
Larger models are Bluetooth compatible to easily monitor the inverter from the associated smartphone app.
All of Cummins’ power inverter offerings can be found on the company’s Amazon storefront.
